The Martian (novel and film)
The Martian is a space novel written by Andy Weir. It was published in 2011 and was released as a major motion picture starring Matt Damon in 2015. The plot focuses on astronaut Mark Watney, a botanist and engineer who is left behind on a Mars mission. He uses his skills as a botanist to grow crops on Mars and survive until he can be rescued. Andy Weir did a lot of research to make his project as scientifically accurate as possible. Check out these links that explore these concepts even further.
