Summary

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is the government space agency of the United States of America.  NASA has been a world leader in astrobotany research and has largely filled the void that the USSR Space Program left with the collapse of the Soviet Union.  NASA’s various Biological and Physical Sciences (BPS) programs have long produced cutting-edge astrobotany hardware, databases, and literature, but its leadership remains uncertain as funding stagnates and its LEO activities become increasingly reliant on the private sector.
